Write to the Premier's Hunter Transport TaskforceDespite the thousand of letters and petitions that have already been presented to the NSW government, the latest Premier's Lower Hunter Transport Task Force (PLHTF) has stated that they haven't received any letters protesting against the proposed closure from NEWCASTLE people. Newcastle people are the least users and so are least affected by the rail and so the least concerned. The further you live from Newcastle the more you rely upon the rail to get you to your destination quickly, conveniently and safely. But the PLHTF wants to hear from Newcastle people it seems, and so we have asked the government to redirect the thousands of letters and petitions they have already received to this 72nd study of the Lower Hunter Transport. People from 'Newcastle' as such apparently get two points to everyone else's, but I wouldn't let that deter anyone wherever they come from, from describing their particular concerns to the Task Force. Describe your own personal issues. This it seems may have more effect, because the government is very concerned that the electorate be happy with their decisions. This is urgent. Please take the time to write a letter now. Below are some issues that may prompt your concerns, and below is an addressed letter for you to fill in and return to Save Our Rail and we will forward it on for you. Alternatively, send it on direct to the address on the letter. We would appreciate a note that you have sent in a letter, so that we can be sure the Task Force is not being neglected.
