The leaked draft rail timetable (Sydney Morning Herald) signals a breach of promise by Gladys Berejiklian, who pledged to put the “customer” first. Hunter Line train commuters hoped for improvements, such as more frequency of service, less crowding and some trains returning at night to Dungog and Scone lines.
What do we get when this is implemented in October?
Fewer trains, smaller trains, long delays in connection with Sydney train at Hamilton, later arrival of that train at Central.
This is not putting the passengers “at the centre of planning,” Gladys.
More detail at the Maitland meeting Wed 12th June at St. Peters Church Hall, Banks Street, East Maitland, at 7.00 p.m.
Sonia Hornery MP Wallsend will the guest speaker at this meeting and will outline her reaction to the O’Farrell Goverment decision to cut the Newcastle Rail Line at Wickham.
